Level 2 – First Aid for Mental Health (7 hours)

Learners who successfully complete this qualification will become a First Aider for Mental Health, equipped to apply their skills and knowledge both in the workplace and in their personal lives.

This 6-hour course provides the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, initiate supportive conversations, and understand when and how to signpost someone to appropriate professional support.

Participants will also learn how to recognise and manage stress, understand the effects of substance misuse, and become familiar with the first aid action plan for mental health. Additionally, the course covers how to implement and promote a positive mental health culture within the workplace. There is no requirement to have completed Level 1 prior.
