Level 3 – Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (14 hours)

This qualification represents the highest level of First Aid for Mental Health that a learner can achieve. It is specifically aimed at leaders, managers, and those with responsibility for wellbeing within organisations.
Learners will develop a deep understanding of a wide range of mental health conditions and the types of support and therapy available from professional healthcare providers. The course places particular emphasis on how to create and embed a positive, supportive mental health culture within an organisation.
Participants will learn how to:
Recognise and respond to signs of mental ill-health
Start supportive conversations with confidence
Signpost individuals to appropriate professional help
Recognise and manage stress effectively
Understand the impact of substance misuse
In addition, learners will become familiar with the first aid action plan for mental health, understand how to apply it, and gain practical strategies to promote a mentally healthy workplace.
Upon successful completion, learners will be qualified as a First Aider for Mental Health, equipped to use their knowledge and skills in both professional and personal settings. There is no requirement to have completed either Level 1 or Level 2 prior.
